10th Annual Friends gift swap

This weekend we had the 10th annual friends gift swap. Everyone brings a gift, around $25, picks a number, and then we pick gifts in the order of our numbers. You can steal any gift opened before you, but if your gift is stolen, you're stuck with opening one from under the tree. It always makes for great entertainment and some of the gifts are certainly...creative to say the least. Many of the best gifts over the years I cannot even detail here (my mom does read this blog!) so you get the idea of the sense of humor of our group of friends! The original gift swap back in 2000 was only about 8 of us , but over the years it has grown to be around 30-40 people. We all bring food to share, and it's just a great excuse to get together and celebrate the holidays. This year I opened a miniature Christmas tree and was actually pleased with the gift...until Mike stole it from me! In his defense, he did ask me first. We ended up with a candle and Itunes gift card and were pretty happy with that too. Great times with good friends!
