The Greatest Show on Earth

Today was circus day at Ryan's school and he came home with his face painted like a football player. He looked too cute for me not to snap a few pictures!

Hanging with Mommy and Daddy

Or, as Ryan calls us BOTH - "DA!"

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Ryan did have a little trouble embracing his Irish side though...

First Surgery

On Wednesday, Ryan had his first surgery. It was a minor procedure to put tubes in both ears. After non stop ear infections since September, the pediatrician and ENT determined that tubes in both ears were the best solution. We are hoping this helps prevent future ear infections, and gives Ryan (and us!) some relief. We also hope it will help with his speech development. He has no problem talking all of the time, we just don't understand what he is saying! I was very worried about the procedure but everything went great and it was a lot of worrying over nothing. He did look cute in his hospital gown, I wish I had taken a picture! After he woke up from the anesthesia, he was disoriented and crying, then cranky until lunchtime. He took a 3 1/2 hour nap and woke up almost good as new and has been fine ever since. We were lucky enough to have Ryan's Nana D'Agostino fly down and provide moral support for us. Ryan stayed home with her yesterday for some extra TLC while we went to work, and they had a blast. We all miss her already and appreciate her making the trip for the little guy. Thanks to everyone for the emails and phone calls to check on Ryan, he is a trooper!

Don't turn around...

For even a minute! I turned around tonight to wash a sippy cup while Ryan was playing in "his" cabinet in the kitchen. I turned back around and this is what I saw...
