Happy Halloween

Thanks to Tricia for the costume and to Nana D'Agostino for the Halloween themed shirt!

Happy Halloween Weekend and Happy Anniversary Laura and Dave!

Happy Halloween weekend!! I think I need to take a trip down memory lane and remember all of the fun past Halloweens we have had over the years! Costumes I wore included Annie, a bachelorette, Greek Goddess, Playboy Bunny, Harlem Globetrotter, Playboy Bunny and JLo! This weekend I am going to try to scan in some old pictures, but for now...here are a few memories!!
Harlem Globetrotters - 2001
Ben Affleck and JLo - 2003 Jay (From the Kevin Smith movies), a Nurse and Randy dressed as a guy we actually knew! - 2003JLo and Tiger Woods - 2003
I also want to wish a VERY happy 5th wedding anniversary to Laura and Dave. In 2004, 4 couples in our Baltimore group of friends (including us!) got married over a 3 month period, and we all celebrated our 5th anniversary this year, with Dave and Laura's anniversary being the last. I will never forget their wedding day - of course b/c of all the fun and love - but also because that morning was the victory parade for the World Champion Red Sox!! Several friends were surprised to see me at the wedding, and not in Boston for the parade. I must really love Laura and Dave :) Happy Anniversary!! Also a late Happy 5th to Emil and Tricia, and Megan and Ed.
2004 wedding memories....

Ed and Megan's Wedding - 7/31/2004
The only pic I have of the bride and groom is from the impromptu Toga Party we threw after the reception...

Love the Duck!

Today is Pajama day at school so I dressed Ryan in his new Mickey Mouse PJ's this morning. There are pictures of Mickey all over the PJs, but none of the other characters are displayed. I dressed him and then asked "Do you like your new PJs?" He looked down and immediately asked me "Where is Donald Duck?" I guess he thinks where there is Mickey, there is Donald!

Mismatch Day

This week is spirit week in Ryan's class at school. It began yesterday with Team Color Day (he wore orange) and ends Friday with a Halloween parade of all the kids in their costumes, and a Fall Harvest party in the classroom after the parade. Today: Mismatch Day. Basically, I just let Tim dress him :)

Birthday Dinner

It looks like we're starting a tradition of going out to dinner on Ryan's birthday with his grandparents. Last year we dined out with Nana and Grandpa D'Agostino, this year we were taken out by Grandma and Papa Doody and cousin Alec. The boy both did great during dinner, and we had a wonderful meal! It was the perfect way to end the day on Ryan's 2nd birthday.

Happy Birthday Ryan!

I can't believe Ryan is two! He is spending his birthday today with his Grandma and Papa Doody and cousin Alec, and couldn't be happier about it. I don't think he could get Tim and I out the door fast enough this morning, him and Alec were happily playing. Tomorrow we're having some friends over for a birthday party, and on Sunday afternoon Ryan is marching in a local Halloween costume parade of all the little ones in the surrounding neighborhoods. It should be a great weekend! The picture above is of Ryan in his special birthday hat made for him by his teachers at school yesterday (they celebrated early since he won't be there today!) Cousin Diana stopped by last night with a special delivery for Ryan's birthday, it came all the way from the Magic Kingdom.....

Thanks again Diana for such a thoughtful gift, as you can see Ryan loves it! Tim and I feel so very blessed to have such a wonderful, happy and healthy little boy. He is talking up a storm, loves to wrestle, watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, read his books, play with blocks, ride on his motorized car from Uncle Jim, and have lots of visitors and people around. It's been another full year of laughter and joy with our little guy and just like with the first year, we have had a ton of support from friends and family along the way. We are lucky that everyone else loves Ryan just as much as we do! As he gets older, he is also starting to make his own little friends. He tells me that Abe (at school) is his best friend, adores our neighbor Ava, and also tells me Maya at school is his girlfriend. THAT, I am certainly not ready for :) HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYAN!!!!

"Ryan is 60 and Grandpa is 2!"

This afternoon we had cake for my Dad's 60th birthday. We had just recently taught Ryan to say that he was going to be 2, but oncec he heard Grandpa was 60, he decided HE was 60. So now he says "Ryan is 60 and Grandpa is 2!"

Ryan and Thomas...I mean Grandpa

It's official...Grandparents will do ANYTHING for their grandchildren :)

Thanks Uncle Jim!

Today Uncle Jim gave Ryan his birthday gift and Ryan couldn't wait to hop on and take a ride....Thanks Uncle Jim, as you can see he loves it!

Happy Birthday Dad!!!

Tonight we kicked off my Dad's 60th Birthday weekend with a nice (adults only!) dinner out. My parents flew into town this morning, and my brother Jim and his girlfriend Kim flew up from Miami this afternoon so it was nice to have everyone together. We went to a fabulous Italian Restaurant nearby that Tim and I had heard rave reviews of, but had never been to. The food, drinks and company were fantastic!
An after dinner drink for the boys (Note, this is NOT Bud Light :))
What did Ryan do while we were all out enjoying our dinner? Don't worry...he was in great hands!!

He had a blast painting pumpkins witih our friend Kim - Thanks again Kim, you're the best!!

Lizzie gives Ryan a helpng hand...

On our last day in Albany, we spent a little time with Colin, Alec and Lizzie before leaving. Ryan was feeling very lazy, and made Lizzie push him up and down the driveway in the cozy coupe car. She didn't seem to mind, although at one point she abandoned him on the side of the driveway, and he yelled for her to come help him. And like a good cousin, she did! These two are so cute and hilarious together.

"Lizzie! Help!"
And they're off again!
