"Ryan, we are flying on the airplane next week but I'm not sure I can bring the DVD player, it might be too big."
"That's ok, Mommy. Just bring your Ipod and I can watch movies on that!"

Playground!
Storyville
After the Home Depot workshop, Grandma, Ryan, Lizzie and I continued on to a local branch of the Baltimore County Public Library that is the home to "Storyville." Storyville is a wonderful play area for kids at the library - it has play areas for just about anything you can imagine! There is a pretend grocery store, puppet theatre, kitchen, doll area, laundry/cleaning, grill, pretend garden, post office, and the list goes on. There are also books everywhere for the kids to read while they play. We could have stayed there all day and the kids were in constant motion the entire time we were there. We feel so lucky to live near such a great (and free!) place!

Just like Papa
Today we all went to Home Depot, where Ryan and Lizzie attended a kids workshop. They each were able to choose a project to work on and thanks to a lot of help from Papa, Grandma and Daddy (I documented the event), they came home with 2 new creations - Lizzie made a butterfly house, and Ryan made a race car. Lizzie wasn't too sure about the experience at first, but Ryan dug right in and donned his goggles right away. They both ended up having a great time!

Cousins
Last night, after much anticipation (and much traffic!), Ryan's Grandma, Papa and cousin Lizzie arrived in town to visit for a few days. We were all so excited to see them, and Ryan was extra excited to have a few days with his cousin, Lizzie, who is only 3 days older than him. Lizzie's only request for the weekend? "I want to eat breakfast at the Mickey Mouse table." So, that's exactly what they did today, on their first morning together, before getting down to business and playing in the basement. I think it's going to be a fun weekend for these two!
